Our Message Blast feature allows you to send a group message to a few clients or a large group of them. Message Blasts can be useful when you want to send a one-time message to your clients and don't need to set up an appointment! Anyone whom you send a Message Blast to won't know who else it was sent to, just like a newsletter email.

Customers can reply to message blasts the same way they can currently reply to your reminders. If you have Notifications activated in your Reminders settings, customer replies will be forwarded to the mobile number or email address entered there. If you do not have Notifications activated, the customer will get an auto-response to their blast reply saying they should contact your business directly.

To send a Message Blast to more than one contact, you need to:

  • Sign up for a paid plan

  • Complete a form on the Blasts tab. We need to collect some business information from you to comply with regulations for sending commercial SMS messages.

To send a Message Blast by either text or email, you'll want to do the following:

  1. Click on Blasts at the top part of the web page.

  2. Click on the + Create button.

  3. Enter your Blast Name. (ie. New Promotion, Following Up)

  4. In the Send To section, select "All Customers" or select "Customers/Groups" to specify who your Message Blast will be sent to.

  5. Type in the first few letters of the customers' names you want to add to the blast. (If you have already created a Customer Group, you can search for the name of the group in this section too.)

  6. In the Message box, type in the message you want your customers to see when they receive the Message Blast. Your customer(s) will receive the Message Blast by email or text message, depending on the reminder type set up on their customer profile. If your customer has their reminder type set to Both, they will receive the Message Blast by email and text message.

  7. Click on the Template Tags feature in the Message box as you type in your message if you'd like to add tags like {{First Name}}, {{Booking Link}}, or {{Review Link}}.

  8. Click the Next button.

  9. On the Preview page, you can view your message blast in text/SMS and email format at a glance. If you are satisfied with the message, click the Next button. If you'd like to make any changes, click the grey Back button on the page to edit it. Once you are satisfied with the message, repeat step 9 and step 10.

  10. Type "confirm(space)(# of recipients)" in the provided field to finalize the message blast.

  11. Click the Send button to send the message blast to the customer(s) you selected.
